How to find mac address of laptop

Each and every network device/interface like the laptop, Wi-Fi adapter has its own unique hardware id which is known as media access control in short known as MAC. There are two common and generally used ways to find the MAC address of a laptop one is command line mode and second is graphical user interface which is also known as GUI. 

In case of command line mode- first you have to select or go to RUN-open Cmd.exe-and then type getmac in command prompt. You can also go through websites like login-dlinklogin.com by just sign in through Dlink router sign in. In case of graphical user interface GUI- first a user have to type ncpa.cpl and then press enter, after that the window containing the network connection opens on his screen now in that window the user has to right click on the network connection option after right-clicking a new tab opens in that he has to select or choose  the status option  by clicking on status option and then mac address will appear on your screen. 

There is one more trick in that you just go to RUN-open Cmd.exe-type ipconfig/all in command prompt or in simple words  you just click on start button and then select RUN after that type CMD and click ok then a black command prompt window will open then type ipconfig/all and then press enter key then you got a lots of information but  what you need is Ethernet adapter local area connection setting.
