How to change the wireless network name for 5GHz wireless network with Linksys

Things to keep in mind while changing the network name

While changing the name kindly checks that you must be using the wired type of network connection. If you are using the laptop then you also need to use the Ethernet type of network connection on temporary basis.

Step 1: Through the app for the Linksys connect check for linksys smart wi fi setup wizard, just access for the router’s web-based setup page  and make the selection of the feature of the wireless tab and just select the feature for the manual.

Step 2: After clicking on the option of the manual, you will have all the wireless setting shown to you. On the page of the basic wireless settings make a search for the 5 GHz wireless setting on the option for the wireless network name, just enter the new details of the wireless network name as you desired.

 

Step 3:  After entering the details just click on the option of the save settings for getting all of the settings applied.

Step 4: After this you will receive the message that all of your settings are successful. Just click on the continue button to get proceeded which will take you back to the previous page.
